Liven up tired dishes with a dollop of tangy and sweet citrus that builds in depth and layers to your food's flavor. A small amount adds punch to any vinaigrette or sauce.

Ingredients: whole yellow lemons, salt, lemon juice

Recipe: Easy Spinach and Chickpea Tagine:

Saute half a small onion and 5 cloves garlic in 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Add 1/2 tsp. Ras-El-Hanout Spice Blend, 2 c. frozen spinach, and 1/2 c. canned chickpeas; cook on low for about 10 minutes. Add 1 chopped tomato and 1/2 tsp. Preserved Lemons. Cover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes. Serve over steamed basmati rice or with toasted pita bread.
